Advancements in Embedded Systems (1970-2017)

This is the continuition of the previous post on Embedded Systems (1944-1970) if you did not visit please spare a littel time to get into the track with the evolution. As of now we are having many devices that sre connected with the internet and every thing of them has an inbuilt Embedded System that may be of any, this can be GPP, ASIP, ASIC. The main objective of them is to do the task for which they are confined to and also in the places at  which they are palatable.
Here comes the core problems with the security and methods of implementation. They are used in many places in many ways, for example the are used in the best way in IoT and many more famous appplications like Self Driving Cars. Even the most trending and the best ever adaptable technology like DeepLearning uses Embedded Systems. So this is the necessity for which we need to know the evolution of Embedded Systems.

History of embedded systems  (1970-2017)

1971  Intel 4004 the first 4-bit microprocessor was developed by Intel scientists
TMS 1000 was developed by texas instruments
1974  Intel 8080 was developed and is used in a personal computers
1980's Microprocessors have become the demanded technology and the optmisations were started for speed and memory size where as the microcontrollers optimised for power consumption and physical size. As the microcontroller is a combination of one or many processors the production rate increased and that is the very start of Embedded systems in to the market.
1983 HP 15 computer was invented by Dave Packard & Bill Hewlett it was claimed to be the first computer with touch screen sensitivity.
1987 VxWorks RTOS(Real Time OS) was developed and introduced by Wind River systems and this is used in NASA path finder machine in later years
1989 Dot Matrix Printer was invented which works on 8-bit and is put away from usage due to heavy power expenses and tight timing and electrical constraints
1992 Embedded Systems have become wireless and as many as 10 million mobiles were connected over wireless medium.
1996 Microsoft entered into the world of embedded marketwith its new hand-held personal computer CE 1.0
1999 Followed by windows OS the LINUX foundation developed its own OS that could work on embedded system
2000 Second parallel revolution occured one of them is the launch os Linux OS as an open source and has become a famous flexible OS.
2005 Many tech giants Intel, AMD, IBM, released their first multicore processors that changed the usage of our computers a lot and transformed many things to extermely mythological and more complex solving in an unimaginable pace.
2007 Apple Inc released the first IPHONE
2008  The first Android phone was launched and it is left out as opensource.

Finaly the 95% of the microcontrollers produced are used for Embedded Systems. The technological breakthrough is the WIFI connectivity in the mobile devices and this made an easy path for the embedded systems to grab enough gap to get occupied do by 2020 it is estimated that as many as 20 billion devices will be connected to the internet that may be form smallest embedded system to a self driving car which is a combination of many number of embedded systems.

Let's await for a beautiful world with highly advanced technologies that could change our lives a lot so that the would become the best ever days to spend.
