Why 5G using RoF

Let's get started with 5G, we just know that 5G is the one which will work at faster transmission rated than the present days generations but theoretically and practically this have another meaning which is "This is the one which has large bandwidth and could accommodate many devices in its network" so this is operated at frequencies more than the frequency bands which are available right now practically we will be using a frequency which is as big as 30GHz and this may be less or more and has a maximum of 300GHz as this is having high frequency and could have high band width and no devices of the day are using this band of frequency which is enormously large and FREE AREA for bunches of devices this would be operated at a tremendously high speeds and could manage to give atleast 5GBps speed and a minimum of 1GBps which is really high and could be made more than 10....

There comes our introduction of using RoF for the transmission...... RoF(Radio over Fibre). Why this???

Here comes the reason...... RoF is super useful for transfer of information at higher data rates so this is solely enough to say it is fit for 5G I don't mean that 5G could not be used in wireless but this is not easy to transmit to larger distances at faster rates depend on the application, for example, RoF is used to transfer to transfer data in 50 kilometres range at 10GBps which is really high this never need an antenna and never needs a concept of Electromagnetic Fields and those mind swirling theories. This uses millimeter wave frequency bands.

Uses-Advantages of RoF for 5G:

1. This is cheap and could maintain high speeds.
2. This could be implemented to transfer data to remote areas and then transmit data wirelessly using steering antennas.
3. Low-cost transmission
4. Large bandwidth could be maintained.
5. Easy and affordable transmission costs.
6. This provides a huge amount of raw bandwidth for mobile and backhaul networks services.
7. Optical modulator carrier is beneficial to provide a network in remote areas from base stations.
8. This millimeter frequency is used by scientists for broadband services over a wide range.

System Requirements:

This barely needs a few transmission equipment and let us go ahead in transmitting 5G signals and they mainly contain The signal which contains the data (5G signal) equipment like NRZ or RZ encoders and then modulated with the 60GHz signal using LiNb optical modulator. This allows us to transmit the 5G signal up to 50 KM range this even has amplifiers for pre and post-dispersion compensation techniques. This is fed to a system which is having an optical signal(Laser for transmission ) which is produced by modulating laser using MZM modulator which is fed to LiNb modulator which is described above.
At the output side, the signal is collected after 50 KM distance (which is the destination of the signal) we will be having a Gaussian filter followed by a Photodetector and finally, it is provided with a BER tester(Bit Error Rate Tester).

Conclusion:
Thus in this work, 10 Gbps of data along with 60 GHz millimeter signal, particularly for 5G applications, are transmitted over 60 km optical fiber. The performance can be measured and evaluated using Q-Factor, BER, and eye diagrams.
Thus we have developed a brand new way to transmit 5G signal in an affordable way. Let's hope this technology would come to us shortly and make our lives more simpler in an innovative wave.
